$ rcmysql start
command to start it. I also opened up Yast and set the mysql tu run level 2, 3, & 5. Thanks
I want to ask a general question. I have use RedHad-9 and in that, I used to start it through "service mysql start". Why different flavours use changed basic application commands.
Perhaps this is a nonsense question
