i've never used it but i have heard some microsofties shout praises
about Webmin <http://www.webmin.com/>

if i'm not mistaken it will allow you to administer any Linux/Unix
machine using any browser running on any computer/OS anywhere in the
world that can route to the box you wanna control..(of course, the
target machine must be willing and set up to allow your control..)
