There is already so many software patents with so wide definitions of what
is patented that only fear from patent wars prevent mass usage of them to
take down one, or the other, software product.
Mono is bad from purely technical reasons, the same that are valid for any
language that require intermediate instruction decoder to run program, which
slows down execution.
We have Java that is the same kind of language, we have Perl, Python, shell
scripting and few more, and there seems no need to have yet another one that
will require some runtime, or interpreter to be present in memory, in order
to run program.
On the other hand programmers like C# for some reason.
