Ok everyone I am aware that many people have this issue. I am using SUSE11 not 11.1, 11.0. I am using the GNOME desktop and I for some reason cannot figure out how to create a link to a harddrive on the desktop. I have the neat little mounted hard drive app on my panel which displays all of my window$ hard drives but, for some reason not my beautiful pure souled linux drives. All of the drives show up in fdisk and they are all in the filesystem and I can access them. When I attempt to right click the desktop and create a launcher and I use the location option the link does not work. It allows me to browse the file folders but, it wont allow me to select a folder it forces me to open the folder as though I need provide it with a file or an executable. Now I am not a super newb and I realize this question is probably forehead slappingly easy but, I for the life of me cannot find the answer to this question. I am sorry if this is the incorrect area of the forums to post this but, I am pretty sure it's not. Please do not respond with anything like "mount the drive" because as I said I already have access to the drives through nautilus i just want to create a link on the desktop because it is faster than going through Naut everytime.
