Right click to your panel (the component where is your Computer menu located). From this menu select the
Add to Panel option. In the following window into the search bar type:
menu bar. This will filter out the Menu Bar applet, click on it and hit the
Add button. Yey new menu!

In this menu click to the System button and select the
About GNOME option. It will open you the About GNOME window - copy out the
Version and paste here!
