I am unable to remote control the SUSE box but I can see my samba shares - even though I cant access them as I havent setup the security yet.

There are over 60 PCs on this floor - would take me far too long.
For the 2 on my desk though it all seems to match.
DNS servers are the same for both boxes
Ip address range is the same also
As is the default gateway.

I have had this turned off right from the start. After the issues I have before I re-installed I thought I better eliminate as many possible causes as I could.
