Ok, I deleted all of the stuff from the repository (hoping that it
would have the upated driver). And installed the 180.22 driver after
downloading it.
BTW...is there any way of installing it via user level without having
to log out? Every time I download something that requires installation
as root. I forget, have to log out, log in as root and then re download
it. Kinda annoying...
EDIT: How come this wasn't in the repository? And how long does it
generally take for them to update it?
Everything is good now with 180.22 and KDE 4.2 beta 2. Just waiting
for the real thing in a few weeks!!!

Hi
No, you need to be at runlevel 3 and why re-download it(???), just cd to
the download location or add the full path to the Nvidia file???
Try using the virtual terminals to login, just logout, then
ctrl+alt+F1 and login as root, then run;
Code:
init 3
sh /full/path/to/nvidia_installer -q
then when finished
init 5 && exit
Then you will be back at the login GUI.
