Oh.. and I agree with the acpi issues. You would think that some
things moved forward... it's possible that before it was buggy and
doing bad things.. but you never knew it... and now it "works"
correctly which means your laptop won't power off.

I'm not sure if it's an option for you. But I have to compile the
toshiba_acpi module and patch it so I can get bluetooth to work, maybe
you could try the 10.2 one for your laptop.
As a side note have (did you) you tried the acpi=force in the boot
options? See "Using acpi=force boot option" in the "How To's".
