Agree with your summary oldcpu, poor use of screen space, font size issues, posts are not clearly distinguishable, etc.
Not sure if others have a problem with column alignment using the openSUSE skin. Would add to your list fixing the front page alignments. Strange that it is present on the top level page and not others.
