If you install the kernel built by Novell/SuSE then there is no need for a tutorial. Just let zypper install the rpm.

Yes there is a reason why. For a kernel from kernel.org, one
really needs to know what they are doing. IMHO if you struggle with rpms, you are not going to survive a custom kernel build.

Yes, you can install it with yast or with zypper, assuming you have sorted your repositories for those applications.

this is really fundamental. You need to learn this.
