I assure you this is not a software issue you need to put the unit on a cooling plate
you can get one on ebay for around 15.00 they are a good investment.also contact
dell to make sure the fan is operating properly, if it overheats the computer will fail
make sure you have plenty of ventilation surrounding the unit, the vostro tends to
run a little warmer than the ispirion the vostro is a business line and a more durable
machine.
the plate looks like docking station and has two xtra large fans and four usb ports
the computer just sits on top allowing the fans to cool the bottom.
