AIGLX/GLX_EXT_texture_from_pixmap is lacking, meaning if you like eye-candy, you will have difficulties running beryl and the likes. You must implement a middle man like XGL which render your other 3d programs useless. This is just one issue. There is progress and it will get better, but until then...
