before it started updatding near every package on the system. just an "update" did not do anything for me.

why stick with kde 4.0 at all? 4.0.4 / 4.0.5 it still is crappy as h*** imho. I think that 4.0.81 is far better, mature, feature complete and stable already. They call it KDE4.1 beta but then again the KDE team themselves declared that 4.0 was just a public beta of KDE4 as well so what is the difference?
the only thing I lost were the pretty slick customizations done by the opensuse developers. they made it look even better then it did at first, especially the task-manager/system tray/panel is done much better by opensuse then KDE itself and upgrading to 4.0.81 looses these patches making the system tray crappy again (especially for GTK apps or a resized panel).
