Compiling a kernel sounds like brain surgery to me, but I've done a quick scan of your guide and I think I should be able to pull it of. I'll give it a try tonight and see what happens. At least, it will be a good lesson in understanding a little more of linux.

One more question: After recompiling the kernel I should follow this guide for installing the wireless driver etc.. I presume (http://linuxwireless.org/en/users/Dr...devicefirmware)?
