I'm on a standard def TV, and had that problem on Gnome, on KDE it displays fine. I moved the menu to the right hand side of the panel which helped (right click on menu, select move), but still some of the menu was chopped off so I'm back on KDE now . If you're on a HDTV this might work for you. I don't know if there is some setting that would sort it out, I looked on monitor settings in Gnome to select display monitor but the list was all PC monitors, couldn't see any settings for TVs. If I try now in KDE to adjust monitor settings it just says my monitor resolution is invalid or something along those lines, so I don't think openSUSE supports TVs.. There's probably a way to configure the Gnome menu itself (I'm not on Gnome atm, so can't check), I don't know what that is though as I'm a Linux newbie Hope this helps anyway
