Okay guys, after a long hiatus i'm working on getting my openSUSE 10.3 Pismo fully set up again. Thanks to the help i've already received here i am almost where i want to be (which is a fully featured laptop that does everything a windows machine can do). i have sound, wireless internet, can play .mp3s, and some great applications for graphics, etc.

the thing i need to work on right now, is acquiring the ability to play DVDs. thanks to oldcpu i have libdvdcss2 installed, but VLC, Xine, Kaffeine, and MPlayer all refuse to play DVDs. any ideas or things i can check?
