Well, I made the mistake of installing Yellow Dog on mine, and hopefully, tomorrwo, I will remove it.
So if yu don't mind, I will use your post to ask some basic questions :
Are all the applications available on PPC? for example, Pidgin, Wesnoth, Skype ?
Are the performance ok running KDE? Gnome? Xfce?
Are the repo available for OpenSuse, like packman for example, available on PPC?
Hopefully, lots of yes for I could do my switch quickly
