I just installed Suse 10.3 on my Powerbook and for the life of me I can't get the network to work. I'm new to Linux, so be patient

First off, I have a G4 with 1G ram. I didn't want to have to partition my internal drive, so I installed it on an external firewire drive and it installed fine and works fine. However, I can't get the network to work. I'm connected to the internet via an Airport base station (a much older one, from 2002. Not the first version, but 2nd I believe). I've tried various different configurations in Suse but I can not connect to my wireless network. Any help?
