I just finished installing opensuse 10.2 on an imac g3.
It took me a long time finding a distibution that was easy enough to install for my skill level.
Everything is fine except for when I startx.
Then the screen is shifted to the left.
The screen resolution and graphics card utilities let me move the screen a little to the right, and I shrunk it a little to squeeze it in some, but there is still a 1 1/2 inch gap on the right, and the left is pinched off a little.
When I boot up, everything is aligned right, when I am not using a gui, and just at the command prompt everything is fine.
I looked on the imac itself, but don't see any manual buttons for screen position.
I would appreciate any help.
I'm willing to live with it if I need to.
