I had a chance to test 10.2 last night. Well my issue with my ASUS monitor was still the same on my pc as I had on my mac in linux. Screen is shifted over to one side, but I was able to adjust with the monitor controls this time to center. So this now proves some monitors are not suitable for linux. I did have a check on the Yellow Dog sight & 4.1 is supported for a G3 iMac. Maybe you should give Yellow Dog a try.
