Lets say the tarball is in /home/dtech/downloads. Then it should unpack to /home/dtech/downloads/orinoco-015rc2 (or something like that).
Edit: The the README.txt should give instructions to possibly copy files to somewhere else, to compile, what-ever. If there is no README.txt, nor INSTALL.txt, then it gets a bit more complex to solve.
