No I don't want to boot default in text mode, the problem is that my screen turns blank after booting (when you see all the text with "done" etc.). I think it is because I forgot to test display settings during setup, so I wanted to do it from text mode. CTRL+ALT+F1 (CTRL+ALT+Fn+F1) doesn't work, neither does the second command, so I want to boot immidialtly to text mode from the bootloader, but don't know how.

Eek!
Can you put in your installation disk and boot into Rescue mode or something, or can you boot in to FailSafe mode at the bootloader menu?
try 'sudo init 3'? Although it sounds like you don't even have a shell prompt

sorry, I don't know how to help more
