No big deal- but I have noticed since installing SuSe9.1 that there is a little icon near the clock that obviously would seem logical for a laptop-- It tells me that my computer is plugged in. (It's a desktop--- P4-2.54-- with dual-boot, XP & SuSe 9.1- doesn't work unless it is plugged in).
It is no big deal- probably doesn't make any difference- but, I guess I'm a bit surprised.
If I right click on the icon- I get two options: 1- Start YAST2 Power Saving Module and 2- Quit.
I guess my questions would be-- Does it make any difference at all? And, will "Quit" do anything I don't want it to (& will Quitting get rid of the icon permanently?)
I had SuSe 9.0 for awhile- but never got too far; I would like to learn more about Linux-- So, thinking the only way I am going to learn is ask questions as they arise. (One at a time).
Thanks
