Go to /etc/sysconfig/network
find the ifcf* that relates to your broadcom
add the following lines
DHCLIENT_MODIFY_RESOLV_CONF="yes"
DHCLIENT_SET_DEFAULT_ROUTE="yes"

then execute rcnetwork restart
