Graham and Darrell, thanks for responding. I was trying to install
Gnucash-2.0.1. I installed some new aqbanking packages which are needed by
this version of Gnucash. These packages were causing the problem. After
backing off to the previous version of aqbanking, I was finally able to
re-install the 1.8.9-17 version of GnuCash.
