Default 10.1 x64 net install

After the lengthy download process, finally got the thing booted and used
YOU (the little yellow globe wouldn't) work to update 337 items, a record
for a new distro, I suppose. If one installs 10.0, for instance, there are
less than 1/2 that number of updates and that is an old distro. The updater
worked occasionally but now is stalled again, as in ZMD not running. Also,
the logout button gives varying responses, as in offering only the option
of logging out and X shuts down, leaving me with logging in again and doing
a manual shutdown. Some other times it gives a full option menu. I suppose
it gets tired and has to rest.

Performance is spotty at best and "stuff" breaks for no apparent reason.
The updater nonsense is not corrected apparently as it somes and goes. It
takes Yast at least 5 minutes to review the software pagages before it will
present them. I only have 2 GB RAM and an INtel x2 processsor, so
undoubtedly some magical hardware is needed to get this edition up and
running. I've tried the 32bit on both a laptop and desktop and it was
broken also.

I usually buy the SUSE distros retail and I must say that if I had paid for
this garbage I would have already asked the Attorney General of my State to
ban its sale. However, since it was free, I'll simply say Ubuntu offers a
friendler package by far, something SuSE used to do before Novell gutted
the operation. I promise not to bother you folk again.

Thanks!
